Crowning the King

Today we're going to put a cool little crown on our Warlord...well, perhaps cool isn't the right word, since it's going to be a brazier full of charcoals that spews green poison smoke into the air.

We begin by cutting away the Brazier from the pole and standard we removed from our Warlord's back during the beginning stages of this project.  We then drill a small pinning hole in the end of the Brazier, and another in the center of our Warlord's headpiece.

Next we cut a paperclip to length and insert it in the Warlord's head, then test the fitting.

Everything is looking good now, so it's time to remove the Brazier and paint it.  We're going to use a combo of Dark Green, Boring Green and Skull White to paint our smoke.  The airbrush is used to make a very gradual transition between the three colors, and to ensure even coverage.  We'll then finish of the Brazier with some Old Gold from P3.

Now we use a little superglue and put it in place.  Here is what the finished piece looks like.

Next we'll be finishing out conversion by adding a chain bridal to our model.  Stay tuned, it's almost done!

Until next time,

Casey
